How is my student graded?
Pathways has multiple types of courses that students will take and each has a different method of calculating the overall grade.
Edgenuity Courses
Edgenuity courses are our primary curriculum delivery system. The final grade will be based on the a traditional scale: A, B, C, and D. 20% of the final grade is calculated through formative assessments and 80% of the grade is calculated through summative assessments. Students have multiple opportunities to pass the class but will earn an <F> on their transcript if they do not complete the course by the end of the hexter.
-
Formative assessments include: weekly progress grades, lesson quizzes, participation in the required content seminar, and additional assessments as determined by your teacher
-
Summative assessments include: the final exam as assigned by your teacher, the required content seminar assessment, final exams through Compass, and additional assessments as determined by your teacher
KeyTrain Courses
- KeyTrain courses are used to prepare students for the WorkKeys tests. KeyTrain courses are pass/fail grades and are determined by the student passing the WorkKeys test at the required level.
- The WorkKeys course used toward a traditional diploma is worth 0.5 credit.
Work Based/Volunteer Courses
