AN EDUCATION PERSONALIZES THE WORLD AROUND US:
I am a proud Veteran of the United States Navy.
I am a Colorado native. I was born in Denver, Co and raised in Commerce City. My family moved to Thornton in the early 80's. I am a former student of Bollman Technical Educational Center (formerly Bollman Occupational Center) and I attended Thornton High School. I earned my high school diploma from the great state of Florida while serving my country in the U.S. Navy.
I started my college career in 1997 at NMSU Carlsbad, NM. I have my Bachelor's of Art degree from Metropolitan State College of Denver. I majored in History and, minored in Education. I have my Master's of Art degree from University of Northern Colorado. I majored in Gifted Education and minored in Curriculum Development. I’m currently finishing 2 more MA degrees, one in history from CU Denver and one in administration from Regis University. I am currently licensed to teach Social Studies, English, and CTE courses.
I’m honored to have been the first instructor selected to work with this amazing school over 10 years ago. I have been in education for more than 20 years and all but one of those years has been dedicated to the Adams 12 Five Star schools. I’m passionate about working with the G/T and alternative populations and enjoy the challenges both have to offer.
Some other passions I enjoy include reading, video gaming, learning the guitar and banjo, photography, camping/fishing, atving, and of course motorcycling, (both on and off road), I love my Harley, my BMW, and the serenity of the open road.
